Brand Identity – Make Your Mark

Creating a brand is something I revel in doing. I love the challenge of bringing a client’s vision to life. Starting a new venture is an exhilarating and nervous time. It is at these first steps that we develop the feel of the brand. We see the client’s idea grow from a simple fantasy to a finalized concept.

One of my most recent brand project was Make Your Mark (MYM). The business is a new start-up.

“Make Your Mark UK  is a charity consultancy with a simple mission: help third sector organisations be better”

For the branding I kept the colour palette simplistic, modern and monotone. The logo is built up out of three lines. Varying in stroke strength the lines symbolize the rise and fall of success. The lines also create the letters of the brand name. With the elongated thick and thin lines creating two M’s and a small line in the centre to symbolize the Y.

The logo was created in two colour types, one in black and one in white. This allows the brand to be versatile in it’s use of the logo throughout its advertising and imagery. Overall the project was brilliant to take on with business cards, A4 print adverts, a letterhead and a roller banner being designed.
